We are looking for an enduringly profitable business that does $3-$50m in revenue.

Brian Hwang, Founder

Brian is a former Air Force procurement contracting officer, technology product manager, and defense consultant.  Prior to Sequoia Legacy, he founded his own advisory firm, focused on helping leaders in the defense space develop growth strategies.  As an operator who has led teams through changes in leadership,  he hopes to honor the legacy of the owner by keeping commitments to existing customers, employees, and the local community.

Brian graduated from the Air Force Academy with a degree in Operations Research. He also completed MBA degree program from the Harvard Business School, with a focus on the management of small- and mid-sized businesses. 

Brian is a former collegiate golfer and is still an avid fan of the sport. Brian and his wife, Marcela, enjoy spending time touring the various parks of Boston with their dog, Butters. 



Nick Sehlinger, Founder

Nick's entrepreneurial journey began when he founded a local lawncare business in his home  town of Louisville, Kentucky. Since completing his degree in chemical engineering, Nick has spent most of his career as an investor and strategic advisor to businesses, helping leaders drive growth in their companies. Instilled in his upbringing in Kentucky, the principles of hard work, honesty, teamwork, and creative problem solving have served as his north star.

Nick graduated from Yale University with a B.S. in Chemical Engineering, cum laude. He also completed an MBA degree program from the Harvard Business School, with a focus on the management of small- and mid-sized businesses. 

Nick is passionate about educating America's youth, and has served on the Associate Board of Minds Matter and Cents Ability. 

A former collegiate swimmer, Nick enjoys living an active lifestyle with his wife, Kelly Anne. He is an avid home brewer and aspiring bourbon connoisseur.
